|  HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE STUMPY!
Wow this week has flown by!!!
We went out last night then in the middle of the night I woke up and thought Stuart was trying to kill me, LOL, then, after getting back to sleep I woke up about an hour later with a yakky throat and a stuffy nose, YUP the cold has hit, my throat feels like I have had a box of hamlets!! I have lemsip, throaties and lockets all to hand. Thought I might have got away with the cold this year, hopefully it wont last to long.
I have a busy day and weekend ahead of me, I was going to write something intelligent and current today, but for the life of me I forgot what it was. so instead I am going to say what I have loved about this quick week

I got a phone call this morning from Nottingham bbc wanting me to do an interview for them about freecycle, because I run the local group, I turned them down, I do not have the confidence to do anything like that, said I would be willing to do a written inteview for a newspaper or website but not live and in person, ooooooooo no way!!
I also am looking forward to our child free 4 days ;)
Well it is time for a disgusting tasting lemsip, have a brill weekend everyone

| How does that song go???Reaons to be cheerful!!
I have loads today, even if it is only half way through the week.
Reason 1. I went with my baby girl to college this morning, she has a pre interview for her course, she wants to do trael and tourism so she can be a trolley dolly, chris her interviewer was too impressed with her positive attitude towards learning, we had a big walk round the college and my bloody mobile kept going off, IN THE LIBRARY!! Kels was not too happy about her mum embarassing her, shame on me!! It was so wonderful to watch my little girl (who of course is not that little anymore) get so thrilled and excited about her future, I am so proud of her.
Reason 2. On way back from college we went into weatherspoons for lunch, mushroom curry with rice and nan bread and afew popudums mmmmmmmmmm met up with the hubby and we went on the quiz machine put in 50p won £7.00 on deal or no deal! woohoo PLUS Stu hands me £25.00 Thought he had found it in his wallet, nope he had sold another painting, he did a portrait from a photograph and it was for a wedding present, only a small one too, he is getting good at this.
Reason 3. I ordered loads of new stuff yesterday for the shop and it has all been shipped YESSSSSS, I do worry that It will not go smoothly coming from the states.
Reason 4. Although this should be higher up the list, my daddy is out of hospital, no operation either, great news, although they still do not know what is wrong with him.
Reason 5. Baby girl is off to my parents for 5 whole days, going to be getting up to lots of stuff that we cannot do when she is in the house ;)
Well thats all for today, Off to sort clothes and put auctions together. Hope you all have reasons to be cheerful

| FINGERPRINTING MY CHILD FOR SCHOOL DINNERS!!Today is my friend Debbie's Angel day. My mate Debs died today 1992 from the effects of ecstasy, I miss her still, 15 years on. News on my daddy, well he has had the all clear on serious illnesses, he is still in the hospital, but hopefully he is coming home this week. so that's good news. Now I wanted to share this, my baby girl is doing her gcse's this year and is currently on half term, she goes back in a few weeks and she is going to a new school, well not a new school as in changing schools but a whole new built school. it is very High Tec, they have a new drama and state of the art music centre, which yes is all very well and good, especially for the next set of students.  (Artists impression) Now we got a letter from the school about school dinners, being on working family tax credit we can apply for free school meals for Kels but we haven't, so we give her £2.00 a day. So what the school are doing now is fingerprinting the kids and adding the finger print to an account and at the start of the week, we as parents have to send in a cheque for whatever amount we think is okay for our Childs school dinners for the week, I have to say have you heard anything so stupid!!! I mean come on do we really need our children fingerprinted?? sure there is also some sort of rule under data protection that disallows this? my mind boggles, I was on free school dinners as we were a poor family and I used to go to reception everyday with my other poverty stricken mates and we would get a silver disc and it had FREE DINNERS on it. Oh the shame! how times have changed, this though is unnecessary and I wonder who is paying for this???Well It's Monday and as usual it is manic Monday, been trying to set up a myspace account for my clothing biz, but for some reason they won't let me have the name I want grrrrr so think I might not bother! Well off to pour some coffee, supposed to be making some choccie fudge this afternoon and a quorn curry, but dunno if I have the time, BYE!! | | |
| This is a rushed post today,
I woke up with a migraine and it is still with me
My dad was rushed in hosptal last friday, with chest pains, scary times, but his heart is okay, he has something wrong with his stomach and bowel, he has not eaten since friday and he is on a drip, it is nothing serious thank god, but they have no idea what is wrong with him, he has had 6 xrays on his stomach and bowel, I am very upset as my mum is on her own, I live 200 miles away I have offered to go across but she says she will be okay, i hate the thought of my mum on her own though, My horrible sister has been taking her to the hospital everyday, so least she hasnt got to get on the bus, I speak to my dad everyday on the phone in the hospital he is a quiet man so conversations are short.
Anyway, I am in bed with laptop on knee, the tv is on awating life on mars, stuart has gone to the shop to buy me some sweeties and a magazine, just waiting on lemsip

| Not long now to Life on Mars!! It is back tomorrow night and I am well excited,  For those not familiar with the programme it is about a cop in 2006 who gets knocked over and ends up back in 1972!! It is filled with comedy as his BOSS gene is a bit of a twat! and does things his way, it is a great series and well worth a watch Also it is filmed in my home town of Stockport, Miss that damn place I do! They filmed most of the series in Stopford House, (see below) it is a dark dismal building that looks like and old ncp car park, just to the left of this building is heron house, known in Stockport as heroin house, this is was the old dss buildings now it is the job centre, used to great in there NOT, full of nob heads and screeching kids. hated being a single parent and having to go there, made me feel really degraded! 
Anyway, Stopford House is part of the town hall although not connected it is just up the road (we got married there, see below)  It is a magnificent building, called the wedding cake because of its beautiful layers on the top ;) we got married just to the left of the photo in the registry office, (see below) nearly 4 years ago, wow its gone quick!!  Stopford house is one of the back buildings used now by the environmental health and the directorate, the bbc sealed a few of the rooms which where not in use, the dark dingy ones, The rest of the location was bits and bobs of Manchester. parts of Gorton etc. (right dump of a place) Some Tameside students converted a mark 1 escort into a 1970's police car in three weeks, cool!!! I adore this series, not just because of its location, although we tend to watch most TV programmes filmed in Manchester, but also the music is great and also the flashback to the 1970's, plus I get to drool over John Simm for 1 hour every week!! so something for everyone I think LOL

Well its Monday and I sold 10 items last night so have got a lot of parcelling and postage to sort, plus Stuart is home in 10 minutes so need to get lunch ready see ya all xx
